Rebecca, March 2023We stayed at the Mangolani Inn in Paia and it was lovely. Dave was prompt with correspondence and provided us all the details to get to the Inn. We stayed in the Small studio which was perfect for our time there. One king bed, seating area, and renovated bathroom and porch. Additionally, the inn offers several amenities – the driveway gate opens onto a beautiful yard, surrounded by flowering trees, a beautiful fountain, outdoor seating, kitchen setup and hot tub. Of the many caretakers who we ran into during our stay, each was full of colorful stories and recommendations for local sites, eats and activities – all of which were better than any pre-arrival “best of Maui” googling. The inn itself is perfectly located, tucked up on a hill above Paia in easy walking distance to the town center, which has plenty of good restaurants, cafes, shops, and an excellent grocery store. All this to say, would highly recommend the Mangolani Inn.
Suzanne, February 2023Very clean room, extra amenities, like beach chairs, beach towels. Quiet neighborhood. Very close to the beach to see the sea turtles! If you ever have a problem, they were there to help within moments. Loved their friendly cat! We are looking forward to rescheduling another visit!

Mangolani is about as perfect as it gets with great owners, a welcome staff of 3 dogs and a cat, and a magical, serene setting with privacy but also the option of meeting fellow travelers with communal garden, gazebo, BBQ, tub, swings and hammock. Incredibly safe for solo adventures! Walking distance with ease into Pai’a & beaches which is to say close to town but just far enough out to escape traffic and ambient noise…serenity awaits just up Baldwin! Dave & Nyla have created an amazing oasis. Dave is great with communication, on it with repairs (and propane tank replacement! STAT!), answering your questions, recommendations, and, overall, just a really nice person. I stayed solo for a few days then my friend joined me, and we met another new friend…it’s just that kind of place. We cannot wait to get back! Mahalo Mangolani! xo

Alina, November 2022To start with, Dave is the best host ever – super kind, nice and welcoming, he even gave us a surfboard to toy around with while we were there. Also the place is super chill and cozy; plenty of space around to have dinner and breakfast outside; the inside has everything one needs, and the bed is very comfy. We really enjoyed our stay there!
